Hankook is the Official Partner of the Romanian Ice Hockey Cup Final 2015 - 2016
This year’s edition of the Romanian Ice Hockey Cup will bear the name Hankook Romanian Cup 2015 – 2016 as a result of the agreement concluded between the Korean tire manufacturer and the Romanian Ice Hockey Federation. The image association between the two parties is based on the desire of the Hankook company to be actively involved in supporting Romanian sport and hockey in particular, a sport whose popularity has increased in recent years at a much higher pace than the investments needed. This partnership was facilitated by Durby Sports Marketing, a company whose mission is to support performance in all sporting fields on a national scale.
Hankook is already a sponsor for some of the biggest and most prestigious European competitions, such as the UEFA Europa League and the German touring car championship Deutsche Tourenwagen-Meisterschaft (DTM) and is following with great interest the collaboration for the final of the Romanian Ice Hockey Cup 2015 – 2016 edition. The event will take place Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at 18:00, and will be disputed by the teams Sport Club Miercurea Ciuc and CSA Steaua Bucureşti. The game will be hosted by the Olympic Skating Rink in Brașov and will be broadcast live by the DigiSport channel, thus providing all fans of the stick and skate sport to view and rejoice in a quality show.
The 2015 – 2016 edition is the 43rd of the Romanian Cup, with CSA Steaua Bucureşti winning the cup no less than 32 times. Bear in mind that the final was scheduled to take place last year in Georgheni, but was interrupted by the explosion of a floodlight at the score of 7-2 in favor of the Ciuc players, at the break between the second and third quarter. Initially rescheduled to be hosted by Galați, the final was moved to Brașov following a last minute decision by the management of the Romanian Ice Hockey Federation.
This punctual collaboration between Hankook and the Romanian Ice Hockey Federation provides a great opportunity to lay the foundations for a long-term cooperation between the two parties, a decision in this regard being scheduled after the dimming of the Final echoes.
The contribution of Durby Sports Marketing in this event includes the entire range of “venue services” which offers a different facet of the skating rink through a specific customization of the boards, related activities and contests for the spectators with prizes offered by the event sponsors, as well as the entire promotion and media coverage package.
