DSM Takes Part in the Organization of the Ice Hokey World Championship
Durby Sports Marketing is directly involved in the organization of the most important event of Romanian hockey in 2017, group A of the 2nd division at the World Championship.
Scheduled in Galati between 3 and 9 April, the competition will bring together, aside from the Romanian national team, the national teams of Spain, Belgium, Serbia, Iceland and Australia, the ”tricolors” being credited with genuine chances to win the group and going through to the next group.
We are in for a veritable show on the ice and an important logistics exercise to be carried out longer than the 7-day duration of the competition, therefore, by its involvement Durby Sports Marketing will face a new challenge of maturity and professionalism. The DSM team will play an important part in organizing the space where the competition is to take place, the Galați skating rink, through sale services and arrangement of commercial spaces in the arena, as well as by the preparation and printing of all event materials.
The promotion part also includes the live broadcast of the matches on the TVR HD national station, in parallel with broadcasts made by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) on the website dedicated to the competition.
”Such a wide-scale event does not occur too often in Romania, where the infrastructure for practicing ice hockey is very poorly developed. First of all, we are glad for Galați, a traditional center for the stick and skate sport, and we hope to contribute in the provision of an agreeable show for the viewers familiar with the phenomenon,” stated Bobby Durbac, General Manager of Durby Sports Marketing.
