At the end of May on the 26th, Oradea will host the second edition of the “United for Mihai Nesu” event.
Since 2011, after Mihai Nesu’s injury and his new health situation, he decided to establish a foundation that would come to the aid of children with disabilities and chronic illnesses. Since then, he dedicated his time and all his resource to putting these children first in order to make a difference in their lives. The hometown of the ”UEFAntastic” member of Steaua from 2006 will be the host of a heartfelt event that demonstrates that sports and solidarity can make a better life for those in need. Two years ago, on May 9th 2016, during the first edition organized at the Polivalenta Hall in Bucharest, two of the best teams in the history of the Steaua Club, 1986 and 2006, met under the gaze of thousands of football fans. Important names such as Helmuth Duckadam, Adrian Bumbescu, Tudorel Stoica, Iosif Rotariu, Mirel Radoi, George Ogararu or Sorin Paraschiv reminded spectators of the times when Romanian football was represented throughout Europe, bringing joy in the hearts of Romanians due to historical results. Like we did back then, as well as for the three-way match that will take place on the Iuliu Bodola stadium of Oradea, Durby Sports Marketing will once again be there for the friends of Mihai Nesu and will contribute to organizing a memorable show by helping the organizers of the event with a peripheral LED display system.
The media coverage will be sizeable, with the Digi Sport channel broadcasting the three-way matches on television which will pit the Romanian national team, which will include Gheorghe Hagi, Cosmin Contra, Adrian Mutu, Gheorghe Popescu, Lucian Sanmartean, against the Uefantastics of Steaua including Mirel Radoi, George Ogararu, Florin Lovin, Petre Marin and Gabriel Bostina among its rosters, to which the Team Friends of Mihai Nesu will be added including Dries Mertens, Claudiu Keseru, Ovidiu Hoban, Cosmin Vatca, George Puscas as well as many others. In addition to the live TV broadcast, the event will be publicized by Gazeta Sporturilor and Pro TV.
